June 6, 2009 - Annual Prospect Show

Plainsmen 4-H Club invites you to its 20th Annual Prospect Show to be held on Saturday, June 6 at Owens Arena, El Paso County Fairgrounds, Calhan, CO. We will be offering market classes for beef, goats and lambs this year. Scales open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 a.m. for lambs and goats. The shows for market lambs and goats will begin at 9:30. Scales for market beef open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 a.m. The market beef show will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. Grand champion beef will receive 50% of entry fees up to $300, reserve 25% up to $150; grand champion goat and lamb will each receive 50% of entry fees up to $200, reserve 25% up to $100. There will also be cash prizes for class winners. And, if that isn't enough . . . there will also be raffles and concessions!!
