National 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl - River City Roundup 08
The second annual 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl Invitational presented by Cargill will be held Sept. 27 and 28, 2008 during the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Exposition. This event will be open to all states from across the nation. Each state will be able to send one team to the Invitational. Courage to Live Symposium
Mark your calendar for Monday, Sept. 22 and Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to attend the Courage to Live Symposium. The Symposium will be held at the Department of Revenue, 1881 Pierce Street, Entrance B, Gaming Conference Room, Lakewood, CO 80214.
This conference will Focus on the Laws and Best Practices to Prevent Underage Drinking and Driving. The agenda features nationally recognized trainers and local leaders addressing topics that include: Colorado law and young drivers; physiological components of alcohol addiction; perspectives of a teenage DUI; learning by doing; best practices; resources; and trends and policies.
In addition, each attendee will receive a Courage to Live Starter Kit including books, a DVD, posters, and a helpful resource guide. Participants may also enter drawings for videos, Fatal Vision goggles, science fairs sponsored by the Museum of Nature and Science, or a voucher for a visit by the Center for Transportation Safety’s mobile DUI simulator lab.
Catered breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided. Best of all, there is no charge!!
