Paul Hoshiko Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 6, to participate in the 13th Annual Paul Hoshiko Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament to be held at Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club in Windsor. We welcome your participation as a sponsor, player, volunteer or contributor with an item from your county that can be used in the silent auction or as a drawing prize. There will be two tournaments - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The cost is only $100 per person and includes golf, cart, range balls, lunch, contests and a guaranteed great time! State 4-H Conference
State 4-H Conference will be held June 23-27 this year. This conference provides great training for 4-H members, leaders and Extension agents and an opportunity for all to strengthen their leadership skills. Registration this year is $60 per person and for those participating in contests there will be an additional $20 entry fee per contest.
This year you will be housed in the new Academic Village and Summit Hall. Lodging costs are as follows: $135 for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (MTWR), $105 for MTW or TWR and $75 for TW. There are two meal plans this year – meal plan A includes the Tuesday picnic and Thursday evening banquet for $45 and meal plan B includes the above plus contest lunch or awards luncheon. We will also have convenience cards available for purchase.

Colorado Master Farm Homemaker Guild Scholarship
The Colorado Master Farm Homemaker Guild is offering a $500 scholarship this year to a Colorado woman with an agriculture background. Known by the Guild as the "Second Chance Scholarship," it will be given to someone who has had her college education interrupted or postponed and is hoping to attend a college, trade school or a secondary education institution. Homemakers are encouraged to apply. Requirements are: three names of reference, biographical statement of work history, community involvement, future goals, and a statement why she feels the scholarship should be awarded to her. All applications must be complete when returned to CMFHG and must be returned by May 15, 2008. The award must be used in the year it is received. The Guild reserves the right not to award the scholarship.
