WRLF- 09 Website
The WRLF-2009 website is up and running and starting to get populated with information. The site is located at: http://www.colorado4h.org/wrlf09.
The Call for Proposals is posted under the "Workshops and Tours" link. As soon as we get the Promotional Flier and Fund Raising Flier converted to PDF format we'll post them under the "Promotional Resources" link.
Reports from committees that worked on the Boise event are posted under the link for "WRLF Committee." The Idaho group prepared these reports for the wrap-up meeting with Colorado and New Mexico planning committees. Feel free to look through any of them that you'd like. Their committee structure is a little different than ours and you may find relevant information in more than one place. The "WRLF Committee" hotlink is where we will be posting information relevant to this committee and for our planning use. — Dale Leidheiser
IRS Update
The IRS has finished updating the national records to reflect all of the changes we’ve made to our state certified list of clubs and groups listed under the federal group exemption number. We hope to have information in the next two months about how we’ll go about updating the list with new clubs.
This is an annual certification process we’ll be going through, so remember to update your county lists with new clubs and those we’ll delete. And keep calling with your questions! — Dale Leidheiser
“Welcome to the World of 4-H” DVD
All of our Colorado Extension offices were given copies of this four-part video tape/DVD. Production of this leader orientation has ceased. I picked up about a dozen more copies of the DVD while at WRLF in Boise. If you’d like to have one, let me know! — Dale Leidheiser

Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium
The First Annual Land Grant Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium, Land Grant YES, will be held June 4-6, 2008, at Penn State University. Hosted by The Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development, Land Grant YES will bring educators and program leaders from eastern U.S. states (and beyond) together for a face-to-face symposium focused on youth entrepreneurship best practices, research findings, and future program development. Trace Gale (West Virginia University Extension) and Debra Kantor (University of Maine Cooperative Extension) are the co-chairs of the symposium planning committee. Abstracts for posters and presentations are due by April 22; participants will be notified by May 1, if their abstract has been accepted.
The symposium brochure (description, format, and call for papers) is attached. Additional information regarding the symposium will be posted on the web site as it becomes available: http://nercrd.psu.edu/Entrepreneurship/YESymposium.html.
A limited amount of travel support will be available, up to $500, with priority given to those who would otherwise be unable to attend the symposium and whose paper or curriculum are accepted for presentation.
