Registration Deadline Extended on ALL 2008 Shooting Sports Leader
Workshops
Registration deadlines have been extended on ALL of the 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Certification Workshops.
Because of this, the registration deadline for the Pueblo County Certification Workshop has been extended to Friday Feb. 22. The revised registration form is available by clicking on the following link: Revised 2008 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Certification Workshop Registration Form

4-H Fiesta Ware
The West Virginia Association of Extension 4-H Agents is selling Homer Laughlin Fiesta Ware that has been designed for the 4-H program. Click on the link above (under attachments) to view the items they have for sale and to print the order form. Please mail your order to: Jeffrey Orndorff, 612 Knapp Hall, P.O. Box 6031, Morgantown, WV 26506. Proceeds from the sale of the Fiesta Ware are being used to endow the West Virginia 4-H publication fund.

Reminder - 4-H Scholarships Due Date Change
Please note that the deadline for all state 4-H Scholarships has been changed to April 1, 2008. This was done so your 4-H members can receive the scholarships at their high school awards programs or graduations.
The scholarships include:
- Colorado Agricultural Development Authority Scholarships
- Portouw Family 4-H Photography Scholarship
- Howard and Marjory Smith Scholarship
- Holthaus Scholarship
- Kimberling Scholarship
- Audrey Sandstead Scholarship

2008 Western National Roundup Colorado Results
As most of you know, the 2008 Western National Roundup was recently held in Denver. Colorado did very well in their competitions; below are the teams and individuals that participated in contests.
The Family & Consumer Sciences Bowl team from Adams County placed 1st for High Team Overall. Team members included: Irene Draper, John Dueck, Paul Dueck, and Krystie Jones. The team was coached by Lulu Marie Hathaway. Paul Dueck placed 3rd Overall High Individual.
Irene Draper, Paul Dueck, Krystie Jones and Susan McKenzie, Adams County, placed 5th High Team Overall in the Consumer Decision Making contest. The team was coached by Lulu Marie Hathaway.
Meghan Wooldridge, Larimer County, placed 2nd in Impromptu Speech. Caitlyn Darnell, Pueblo County, placed 3rd in Prepared Speech.
The Elbert County Livestock Judging team placed 2nd for High Team Overall. Team members included: Kirby Carpenter, Curtis Doubet, Garrett Liss and Dan Sewald. The team was coached by Garrett Miller. Curtis Doubet placed 1st Overall High Individual.
Horse Classic Results
The El Paso County Horse Judging team placed 1st for High Team Overall. Team members included Samantha Gagas, Anna Jameson, Randi Jameson, and Lisa Wermuth. Their team was coached by Jonathan Vrabec. High Individuals Overall in the Horse Judging contest were Randi Jameson (1st), Anna Jameson (2nd), Lisa Wermuth (3rd) and Samantha Gagas (6th).
In Hippology, Douglas County team members placed 2nd High Team Overall. Members were Anna Kellogg, Hannah Mills, Kylie Osterloh and Katlin Sanderson. Kylie Osterloh placed 2nd Overall High Individual. The team was coached by Laura Jordan.
The Larimer County Horse Bowl team, coached by Tané Leach, placed 3rd High Team Overall. Team members included: J.J. Gunkel, Kalinda Livingston, Meghan Wooldridge and Trisha Wooldridge. Meghan Wooldridge placed 1st Overall High Individual.
Edwin Gaffney, Arapahoe County, placed 1st in the Horse Individual Demonstration Contest.
Kaitlin Hornig, from Pueblo County placed 1st in the Horse Public Speaking Contest.
